The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the podcasts are in your pocket. It’s the Summer 2019 Pocket Podcast update!
As the Pocket Podcast Network has been expanding and growing, I’ve been looking for a way to celebrate all that we have been doing and I think I found it in seasonal updates! We’ll be showcasing other updates as they happen as well.
Before we begin, let me introduce myself. My name is Britty and I am the founder, owner, and managing director of the Pocket Podcast Network. I do a lot of the behind the scenes work and I’m proud to be able to showcase some of the awesome things our network members are doing with this update!
Summer of 2019 started off with a bang with Daniel (No Dice, Executive Producer) graduating from Candler School of Theology at Emory University with her Master’s degree! We’re very proud of her and excited to watch her succeed in her field.
And of course, the fact that I had the opportunity to go down to Georgia meant we had a small PPN meetup! So many of us are in so many different places it’s always a treat when some of us get to spend time together.

Also this summer, Simultaneous Catch co-hosts Josh and Adam have been doing fantastic work in the local Erie theater scene! Josh played a fantastic part in the Erie Playhouse’s rendition of Spring Awakening and Adam thoroughly entertained with the one-man show I Am Hamlet.

Also exciting news-David of Time Zones are Hard announced the arrival of his baby! We are so excited for this new chapter in his life and wish all the best for David and Louise.
Marketing Director Amanda Sternklar was an editor on the upcoming tome Friends, Foes and Other FIne Folks, which will be available in the DMs Guild this August!
Show Updates
We’re very thrilled to announce the addition of STEAMpunks, a show about remarkable women in history in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, and Sorted a show where characters in popular media are sorted into Hogwarts houses! These shows would be great additions to your pockets and we hope you check them out.
Hiatus Updates
It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce that Time Zones are Hard is no longer on hiatus! Time Zones are Hard now streams on Mondays on Twitch (twitch.tv/timezonesarehard) and releases the audio-only episode the following Friday. We’re taking short breaks in our schedule, but we are no longer on indefinite hiatus.
No Dice is still currently on indefinite hiatus. There has been some work behind the scenes to get it moving again, and if you would like to support these efforts you can purchase a pocket note! The money that goes to support the network goes to support shows who can use a little extra help.
Announcements
If you haven’t seen already, all PPN shows are now on Spotify! Check out your favorite show and stream it through the platform. We’re very excited about this new development and hopes it expands the opportunities for listeners to enjoy our shows.
